Services

Patients must first qualify with the Intake Coordinator before using the Free Clinic’s medical or dental services.

GENERAL MEDICAL SERVICES
The Free Clinic offers appointments Tuesday through Friday.
Wednesdays are available for walk-in clinics. For the walk-in clinic, names are taken at 9 a.m., and patients are asked to return at noon to be seen.

DENTAL SERVICES
The dental clinic is usually held on Friday mornings and Tuesday evenings. Dental services are limited to cleaning, exams, fillings and extractions on Fridays and cleanings on Tuesday evening. Please call ahead for the current schedule and availability of specific services(864) 226-1294  Ext 227

LAB SERVICES
The Free Clinic provides very limited lab services on-site. Lab work that cannot be provided at the Free Clinic is donated by AnMed Health.

SPECIALTY CLINICS
These clinics are available based on doctor’s referrals and require an appointment. Because of the infrequent nature of these clinics, no-shows will not be rescheduled. If you are unable to make an appointment, please notify the clinic so we can schedule another patient.

The specialty clinics include:

  • Gynecology: mammograms, PAP smears, and routine gynecological exams
  • Metabolic: for patients with 2 or more of the following problems: high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol
  • Orthopedic: bone injuries and diseases
  • Acupuncture, cranial/sacral massage, patient education

PHARMACY SERVICES

The Anderson Free Clinic operates a pharmacy service for patients who qualified before February 9, 2011. Unfortunately, funding does not exist at this time to offer pharmacy services to new patients.

The pharmacy will fill most prescriptions, but it has a limited formulary and does not carry controlled substances. Most of the medications filled are designed to treat diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, asthma, and bacterial infections.

There is a $2.00 processing fee required for each prescription, which helps cover some of the expenses of running the Free Clinic pharmacy.
