Dr. Art Bruce and Lisa Tavernier will Dance to Raise Funds
for the Free Clinic in the
2013 Dancing for our Heroes

Following in the agile footsteps of Dr. Bob Austin and Dr. Stuart Barnes, Dr. Art Bruce has enthusiastically agreed to represent the Anderson Free Clinic at the Greater Anderson Rotary Club’s fundraiser, Dancing for our Heroes scheduled for April 19th at the Civic Center in Anderson.
Dr. Bruce, a volunteer dentist at the Free Clinic, is a former competitive ballroom dancer, who participated in both regional and national competitions during his middle school through collegiate years. Lisa is an accomplished dancer, having won many regional and national level competitions. Lisa is a former Miss Anderson and runner up to Miss South Carolina.
They are preparing for the dance in honor & memory of Dr. Bruce’s former coach, Mr. Louis G. Sullivan, who provided ballroom instruction to many of the Anderson area’s citizens of all ages. As Dr. Bruce says, “Mr. Sullivan was a wonderful Christian role model for us & would be thrilled that we will be using our training for such a worthy cause.”
Every dollar Dr. Bruce raises will go directly to the Free Clinic. Here’s how you can support both Dr. Bruce and the Free Clinic:
1. By making a donation
a) By sending a check payable to “Anderson Free Clinic” writing on the memo:
“Dr. Bruce – Dancing for our Heroes” – Mail the check to PO Box 728, Anderson SC 29622.
b) Online. at www.andersonfreeclinic.org. Click on “Just Give” Complete transaction making sure to write “Dr. Bruce -Dancing for our Heroes”
2. By attending the event.
